I have a proprietorship business already registered in the Income tax department with PAN. Also, I am doing a job in other company and I earn a salary from it. Whether I need to apply for the individual PAN for getting the salary?
Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a unique identification number given to every person. Once it has been issued to the person, it cannot be changed even though the place of business/nature of business or other details of the person have been changed.
Hence, if a person is already registered (say here a proprietorship business), it is not required to apply for the PAN again for getting the salary. Therefore, you can use the same PAN of a proprietorship business to get the salary.
